Failed plans and bubbles.

OK, so the plan didn't meet our expectations - we only got another 8 kms on the tire. Fortunately we'd arranged to have some tires couriered to Napier and Debs from BackUp was kind enough to drive them over for us. New tires, no more problems. A relatively easy ride in the rain to destination Napier. Leg 2 complete, and thank God for that - too many frustrations with equipment and bodies.

Aside from all the problems with tires and tubes, Rob had issues with his hands swelling and the skin on the back of his heel breaking down. There is a weakness with the design of the foot supports on the tandem that results in too much pressure being applied to the heels of the fore cyclist.

More later. Laptop battery low...
